American College Dublin Founded in May 1993 by Florida’s Lynn University as a non-profit educational trust, American College Dublin (ACD) is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college welcomed its first liberal arts and business cohorts in autumn 1993 and celebrated its inaugural commencement in 1996, with U.S. Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith serving as the keynote speaker. This established a proud tradition of distinguished commencement addresses from global leaders, Nobel Peace Prize laureates (including John Hume and George Mitchell), prominent diplomats, and senior political figures. Following steady growth throughout the 1990s, the institution broadened its footprint in 2002 by opening a sister campus in the United States, known as American College Delaware.
